Jessica Ash is known for many things, but being one dimensional isn't one of them. She began singing at a very young age in the school choir and eventually took her skill to the next level by joining local theatres. At the age of 17, Jessica started playing regular gigs after school in her hometown of Detroit.
After attending college for two years, Jessica decided that her time would be much better spent on the road, pursuing her career as a singer. She lived briefly in Austin, TX and then for two years in Nashville, TN, all the while continuing to play gigs in both cities. While she appreciated country music, she didn't feel it was her calling and she knew that Los Angeles would be a better fit for her pop and hip-hop style.
Within her first year living in Los Angeles, Jessica formed cover band, Paradium, and secured a weekly residency at the Key Club in West Hollywood. The residency lasted until the venue closed their doors four months later. However, this turn of events wasn't enough to stop her from doing what she loved.
She decided to start booking the band as well as her duo with Paradium's guitarist, Cyamak Ashtiani, for cover gigs. Within a couple of months, Paradium became one of LA's most sought after cover groups for private parties, weddings, events and local bars. After creating a steady, consistent gig schedule, Jessica learned how to DJ and began spinning in between sets at Paradium's shows as well as on her own at weddings, clubs and private events.
Paradium was being booked as a full band and Jessica was sought after as a DJ, but she knew there was more she could do. She learned how to play piano and now performs not only with Paradium as a full band and solo as a DJ, but also with Cyamak as a guitar/piano (or guitar-only) duo.
Now that there is a steady stream of gigs, Jessica has more time to focus on her true passion: Writing and perfoming her original music. Her style of writing is the perfect balance of pop, rock and hip-hop, making her a rarity: A female vocalist that raps with the confidence with which she sings.
Things have taken off very quickly for Jessica and she has no plans of slowing down. With the ability to book gigs, write original music, record out of her home, coordinate events and play shows as a singer, pianist and DJ, music and performance are a definite in Jessica's future and she wouldn't have it any other way.
